Simple Actions Can Make Your Holiday Party Sustainable!

At your 2022 holiday party, celebrate sustainability by utilizing Waste Connections' Lending Library. It is no secret that holiday festivities can generate a lot of waste, but Waste Connections provides free trash, recycling, and compost bins for your scheduled event. Waste Connections' Event Planning Guide has instructions for determining how many waste receptacles you will need, if and how to coordinate volunteer help, and where to dispose of the waste collected. Waste Connections also has an event specialist (Meg Johnson: megan.johnson@wasteconnections.comwho can create a waste reduction plan with you. This valuable resource makes the challenge of reducing your event waste much easier!

If your business has mastered waste management, we challenge you to use reusable dishware at your party. There are multiple ways to do this. The Waste Connections' lending library also includes dishware that can be borrowed for free. All that is required is washing the items with the included 3-bin dishwashing system before returning them. Partner with other organizations and uplift their community leadership too! Lastly, your business can take the extra step and invest in some party dishware that can be reused year after year.

Clark County Green Business hopes these resources can help reduce food waste throughout the celebratory season. Honor the planet, the Clark County community, and your valued employeesHappy Holidays!
