C-TRAN

As a public public transit provider, sustainability is part of our very mission as an agency. The service we provide positively impacts our environment and the local economy by carrying more than 6 million passenger trips per year, reducing the number of vehicles on the road and carbon emissions. C-TRAN also takes steps to improve our own sustainable practices: 

• More than half of fixed-route fleet are hybrid diesel-electric buses

• Public electric vehicle charging stations installed at Fisher's Landing Transit Center

• Energy-efficient LED lights used at transit centers and administrative offices

• Collects and recycles cigarette butts at all Vine stations

• Testing renewable fuel sources and soon adding all-electric buses to fleet
