It's been a beautiful start to summer in Clark County! Thank you to everyone who came out to our Green Awards ceremony last month to celebrate this year's winners: Jacobs, Columbia Springs and Kindred Homestead Supply.

 

Next month, we invite you to join us for our August Morning Blend at Mackenzie's Vancouver office, where you'll have the opportunity to learn about some of the sustainable projects they're implementing. Read on to learn more!


MORNING BLEND

Join us at for our August Morning Blend on 8/7 at 9am at the beautiful Mackenzie office to learn more about how sustainability can be incorporated in everything from architecture, interiors, engineering, and planning. Hear from Mackenzie staff about how they approach sustainability both in their day-to-day operations as a business and in their projects through best practices and through third party certifications (i.e. LEED, Green Globes).  

Please meet at Mackenzie's Vancouver office at 101 E 6th St STE 200, Vancouver, WA 98660 on 8/7 at 9am for coffee and pastries followed by networking, and en engaging tour and presentation by the Mackenzie folks. The Umpqua Bank parking garage next door is available with city parking permits on the upper levels and pay-to-park option on the lower level. Street parking is also available through Parking Kitty.

‍COUNTY COUNCIL SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR VOLUNTEER COMMISSION FOR RECYCLING AND WASTE SYSTEM

The Clark County Council is seeking applicants for four volunteer positions on the Solid Waste Advisory Commission. Applicants who are appointed by the council will serve three-year terms.
