The Clark County Green Business LSW Architects has been making waves in the community with their development of Ryd, a free green shuttle service for people who work in downtown Vancouver. Ryd — an acronym for Rethink Your Drive — is providing downtown employees with a free ride to their office when they park a little ways away. The shuttle takes away the pain of parking downtown, and runs on 100% electric power, reducing emissions and getting people to work! Check out the article.
Are you tired of throwing money away (literally) when you buy single-use serving ware for customers and employees? Would you like to reduce waste, lessen your impact on the environment, and decrease the amount of garbage you produce?
Join us May 1st for a special Clark County Green Business Morning Blend event where we will discuss HOW to ditch the disposables and embrace reusables. We will be joined by guest speakers from two companies that are changing the way businesses think about reuse— Bold Reuse and Okapi Reusables. We will also have information available from the Clark County Food Safety team for those food service businesses that are interested in learning about getting a plan approved to safely refill consumer-owned containers.
This event will be held at Fourth Plain Community Commons, 3101 E 4th Plain Blvd Ste.101, Vancouver, WA 98661. Free parking is available in stalls that are NOT marked “residents.”.
