The 2019 Recycled Arts Festival is right around the corner, and there are many opportunities for businesses to get involved. This year will be the 14th annual festival, and the 3rd Procession of the Species coordinated by Clark County. Both the Festival and the Procession offer great opportunities to help our community and celebrate the environment!
Procession of the Species – ISO craft supplies
The Procession of the Species is a special part of the festival where we give everyone the opportunity to dress as an animal, plant or mineral, and join in on a parade celebrating nature. To help people make their perfect costumes, Clark County Green Neighbors is hosting free workshops throughout the month of June for the public to come and create their costumes out of recycled craft materials.
We are inviting Clark County businesses to donate unused or recycled craft supplies to help in this effort. Our wish list includes paints, paint brushes, yarn, feathers, cardstock, and more (see the full list in the photo below). If you have materials you'd like to donate, please let Austin know by emailing him at: .
Feeling extra creative? Everyone is welcome to attend the workshops, or even volunteer at them! More information about workshops and the Procession can be found at: recycledartsfestival.com/procession
Volunteer with Recycled Arts Festival
In addition to the Procession, there are also many slots open for volunteering during the festival. You can volunteer as an individual or as a group! The perks of volunteering include a free Recycled Arts Festival t-shirt and free lunch from one of the food carts in the park.
There are many different volunteer positions available, ranging from helping with the sculpture garden to helping in the Children's Art area. If you would like to volunteer, check out available slots here: signup.com/go/CXeXspp and invite your coworkers to do the same. The festival is tons of fun for everyone involved, and we couldn't do it without the help of our volunteers!
