Join us for an enlightening and educational tour hosted by Waste Connections of Washington as we explore the inner workings of our county's West Vancouver Materials Recovery Center on April 10.
Witness the transformation of towering heaps of mixed recycling into neatly baled commodities. Experience firsthand the magnitude of waste management with sights such as towering garbage piles, a colossal trash compactor, glass mountains and designated areas for hazardous waste, tires, electronics, appliances, and more.
This exclusive opportunity, requires participants to wear closed-toe shoes for safety. High-visibility safety vests will be provided. Please note that coffee and snacks will not be available, so come prepared and eager to deepen your understanding of our Clark County waste system!
Please meet at the West Vancouver Materials Recovery Center at 9 am to receive a brief safety briefing before the tour commences at 9:15 am.
