Clark County Green Business is seeking AmeriCorps applicants for Fall 2022! The Clark County Green Business Program provides support and resources to businesses taking steps to evaluate their business practices and minimize their environmental footprint.

The new AmeriCorps member in this position will support businesses by assisting in their efforts to develop green team projects and increase environmental sustainability through waste reduction, recycling and composting programs.

Position Duties 

The new AmeriCorps member will be responsible for leading green business workshops focused on waste reduction, recycling and food waste composting. This will require researching workshop topics, recruiting speakers, and coordinating event logistics. The member will work with businesses to evaluate waste practices and support improvements by delivering recycling containers and signage and making recommendations. This project will assist in efforts to inform food establishments about food waste prevention practices, composting options and recycling. The member will create blog posts and webpage content, social media campaigns and community events.  

Position Details 

This position offers the opportunity to give back to the community while developing and enhancing professional skills. Americorps members serve full-time for 10.5 months.
