Clark County would like to introduce our newest member of our Green Business team! Marissa Porcellini will be serving as an AmeriCorps member for the 2020 – 2021 season. Below are a few questions so you can get to know her a bit better. Be sure to say hi to her at the next Green Business virtual event!  

Where are you from?

I am from Ocean County, New Jersey. My county is home to the beautiful Jersey Shore, both the popular summer vacation spot and MTV's hit show…and no I have never met Snookie or gotten a spray tan…but I do know people who have!

What projects will you be working on for Green Business?

This year, I will be helping businesses adjust to Washington State's new bag ban. I will also be helping transition our in-person events into interactive virtual events. I believe there is a lot of potential to have some really fun and engaging virtual events, and Clark County Businesses should get excited for what's to come! 

What aspect of serving with Green Business are you most excited about?

I love working with people and thinking of creative ways to support businesses in reaching their full, sustainable, potential! If you are a current or prospective Green Business, don't be shy to reach out and say hi! I look forward to working with you all.

What's your favorite animal?

Sea Lions. Have you ever been to Oregon's Sea Lion Caves?! You can hear them roaring from 300 feet above! It's super cool.

Where in the Pacific Northwest are you excited to explore?

I love being outdoors and any adventure that comes along with it! Hiking, camping, skiing, and exploring in this beautiful region is something I am constantly looking forward to. And eating at food trucks…I love food trucks...
