Green Business awards are presented to one small (25 employees or fewer), one large (more than 25 employees), and one non-profit or government agency in Clark County that demonstrate innovative sustainability.
Businesses merit this award because of their efforts to reduce their environmental footprint and make continuous improvements toward a sustainable future. Green businesses and organizations are committed to working toward sustainability and have documented efforts to refine their practices to protect the environment, support and engage employees, and give back to their community. It is acceptable to nominate businesses and/or apply for your own business. All certified Green Businesses are highly encouraged to apply.
In the form, please tell us why this business should win the Green Business of the Year award. Applicants are reviewed based on their sustainable practices in areas of the Clark County Green Business certification program (recycling, reuse, waste reduction, energy, water conservation, stormwater management, hazardous materials, and community engagement). Please cite examples and expand on your explanations. Supplemental documentation and photographs are helpful but not required and providing additional materials does not substitute for completing this form.
