Help us welcome our new technician Mary!

It's officially fall, but the weather and leaves aren't the only things changing in Clark County. Last month the Green Business team welcomed Mary Hurley as our new environmental programs tech. This role supports the Clark County Green Business program, in addition to some other programs, like Clark County Green Neighbors.

You might recognize Mary as she comes to us after working as a waste reduction specialist and recycling educator at Waste Connections of Washington in Vancouver. In her role at Waste Connections, Mary specialized in education and outreach to promote waste prevention and recycling to businesses in the Clark County area.

When Mary isn't working, you might find her traveling with her border collie, taking pictures, volunteering for environmental causes, or getting books at the library to "geek out" about all things related to waste reduction, upcycling, and sustainable building and food systems. She is also a member of the Clark County Food System Council and loves to support local food and farms.

If you haven't already met Mary, be sure to reach out and connect with her via email or at the next Green Business Morning Blend! Contact Mary at maryann.hurley@clark.wa.gov.
