Clark County Green Business is excited to announce the launch of a virtual Green Team Workshop Series coming this spring. Over the course of three workshops, topics will range from green team engagement, waste prevention, tracking progress and change making within your organization. We will introduce ways to strengthen virtual teams, provide resources and tools like worksheets and practice our virtual networking skills in breakout rooms.

 Event Offerings

Forming and managing a green team

Chime in at 8:30 am Thursday, Feb. 25 for the first event in the series to discuss green team engagement and learn from a panelist of green businesses. The featured panelists are: Kayla Brown from Jacobs, Lindsay Raymond the owner of Barre3 in Felida, and Sally Hurst representing Wafertech. The panel will discuss engaging employees in sustainable activities, benefits of green projects, and envisioning future goals during a time of uncertainty. We will also practice our succinct communication skills with a few rounds of speed networking! Don't be shy in joining if your business does not yet take actions for environmental sustainability. This is the perfect opportunity to learn more about involving non-green-team employees with sustainability projects, meet other businesses with similar values, and get inspired to start forming your own green team!

Preventing waste

Our second event will be held at 8:30 am Wednesday, April 14. We look forward to welcoming Waste Connections Danielle Womble to speak on our waste prevention topic. Danielle is a commercial recycling educator who focuses on waste audits and providing assistance and resources to businesses.

Creating change and tracking progress

The third event will take place 8:30 am Thursday, May 13, and will focus on change making. This event will benefit those interested in creating teams comprised of strong leadership and direction, review how environmental change is made, and provide resources to help implement sustainability themed values at your organization.

The goals for this series are to review challenges of 2020 and work towards solutions for them in 2021. Throughout this series, we will guide you in building and enhancing communication skills, task management skills, building team trust, and realizing creative solutions for challenging problems.

Please register for the first event here, and contact info@clarkgreenbiz.com with any questions. We look forward to seeing you in February.
